The Ovation - in the Heart of Esquimalt British Columbia

Posted By Duncan Boan • May 8th, 2008 • Location: Esquimalt

This development adds 75 new living units to Esquimalt, ranging in size from a very modest 509 square feet single bedroom to one family-sized unit with 3 bedrooms plus a den, on each of the floor floors. Units with two bedrooms and two baths outnumber the others by a wide margin. All units will be finished with polished granite counters, hardwood floors, and stainless appliances, and amenities will include a fitness centre.

The building is ‘U’ shaped. The outlook from units on the inner side of the ‘U’ is over a courtyard. Another interesting feature is that all units on the top floor have their own rooftop patio, as well as a small rooftop storage area. The patio area is additional to a balcony. There will likely be some great views of the Olympics from this level too.

Units on levels two and three have a balcony, while main floor units have a patio. The second floor balconies for units facing the courtyard area are huge. The main floor units are more like townhouses than condos in that they have their own separate entrances. They also have nine foot ceilings, and the one foot thick concrete slab above is likely to ensure first floor owners aren’t bothered by noise penetration from units above them.

Located at the corner of Esquimalt and Admirals Roads, this development is close to the epicentre of Esquimalt, and ideally located for Defence employees or Canadian Forces members stationed at nearby CFB Esquimalt.

Sales began in late April, 2008. Occupancy is planned toward the end of October 2008.
