The Gateway In Victoria West

Posted By Duncan Boan • Jun 16th, 2008 • Location: Victoria

The Gateway is the fourth phase of the Railyards, a waterfront development stretching along the Selkirk Waterway north of the Bay Street Bridge in Vic West.

The building is four storys with 62 residential units of varying size and floor plan, from studios of less than 500 square feet to two bedroom units around 1,000 square feet, plus or minus. In between there is a good selection of one bedrooms (some lofts), and one bedrooms with a den/office.

Designed with low maintenance in mind, the exterior of this contemporary looking building is of hardi plank and metal. All units come with one secure underground parking - some have two.

A wide variety of shopping, services and recreational facilities are within a few minutes walk from the Gateway. Downtown Victoria is about 20 minutes by foot, much less by bike.

The Galloping Goose trail passes through the development, along the waterfront side using a right of way provided by the developer. A developer-built Ferry Pier and Lookout Pavilion are also on site for more transportation and recreation choices.

Current prices range from $285,000 to $465,000, and units are available now.
