About Duncan Boan
In my real estate practice, I focus hard on providing objective, competent advice and guidance to my real estate clients. I see my role to be more that of consultant than of salesperson. In other words,
-
I do not subscribe to conventional ’sales’ wisdom which suggests that a sales person’s ultimate objective is to ‘close’ a purchase or sale
- I do subscribe to the belief that solving my client’s real estate related issues is the ultimate objective of my professional relationship with my clients
I haven’t always been a Realtor. My background include: a degree in Engineering; former Air Force pilot (jets and helicopters); former member of the Judge Advocate General branch of the Canadian Forces (Lieutenant Colonel, CD1, retired); ten years in the private practice of law in Victoria; and community volunteer through Rotary (former President of my local Rotary Club), and through many years as a member of the board of directors (including several as chairperson) of the Mount Newton Centre Society - a grass roots adult day program serving health needs of residents of the Saanich Peninsula since 1979.
More recently, I have become a member of the National Association of Green Agents and Brokers, and am working towards designation as an Accredited Green Agent. This means added value for my clients.
With my wealth of life experience, along with my training and natural disposition, I am well able to guide my clients through the process of purchasing or selling a home, from start to successful completion.
I welcome the chance to get to know you, and to explore with you the possibility of working together to solve your real estate issues.
Kind regards,
